Colorado Springs MLS Market Update for August 2014

There are currently 4,104 active listings and 1,111 total sales in the Colorado Springs for the month of August. The number of active listings is down about 150 from one year ago and the sales are about the same. The inventory for August is at 3.7 months, about what we would expect for the summer buying season. 

The average sales price in Colorado Springs for August was down $9000 from July at $258,398 but up $9000 from one year ago and median sales price the same at $230,000 from July and up $10,000 from one year ago. 

New home starts for Colorado Springs is up at 194, down 23% from one year ago.
