Spring Has…. Sprung?
Happy April! Despite last weeks blizzard, the typical Colorado Springs “bi-polar” weather patterns for March graced us with some wonderfully warm weather as well. So warm, in fact, that at least one outfitter on the Colorado River has opened for the season(weather dependent, of course). Though the ski resorts and other winter activities are still going strong, Colorado Springs residents look forward to the warmer weather and all of the activities that make this such a great place to live.
Whether a spectator or participant, these next few weeks will bring plenty of opportunities to snap out of the winter routine and look forward to short and sandal season. As a harbinger of what is to come, the Gazette has even written an article on the best patio seating at local micro-brews and pubs (Of which this area boasts a robust 26!) http://gazette.com/pikes-pub-save-us-a-spot-best-patio-options-around-colorado-springs/article/1572749 Got a recommendation of your own? Let me know! What is a better way to cap off a beautiful spring day exploring the miles of local trails than an amazing meal at one of our local establishments?
Other notable events in the next coming weeks include Sky Sox Baseball and Switchbacks Soccer home openers as well as Air Force Academy Athletics to include baseball, tennis, softball, and track and field.
